Louyang

Louyang is inspired by the real-life city of Luoyang. It is one of a number of localized regions added to Ragnarok Online. Louyang boasts a variety of quests, a dungeon filled with challenging monsters, and regional Earth Dragon weapons. If you pay 10,000 zeny to the "Ambassador of Publicity" (“용지성 홍보대사”) (alberta 246 40), you can go to Louyang. All quests in Louyang only work for characters with a base level of 70 or higher.

Louyang Quests

Louyang has a variety of one-time and daily quests you can do. Some of these quests will be familiar to long-time players of RO, while others are new. Also the old quests have been mostly reworked!

Royal Tomb Entrance Quest (왕릉 요괴 토벌대)

NPC: ▷ Soldier of the Royal Tomb (louyang 42 276)

The entrance to the Royal Tomb is inaccessible until you do this quest. Also after you've completed this quest the NPC will give you 5 daily quests.

Shout Mountain Quest (전망대)

NPC: ▷ Jiu Lian Bu (구연보) (lou_fild01 195 177)

This quest can only be done after the Royal Tomb Entrance Quest. This quest is similar to the one described on the iROWiki page. Once completed, this NPC will have a daily quest for you.

Doctor Quest

People come see Dr. Yongji when they are sick. Recently, she has been treating so many people returning from the royal tomb, that she's running short on medicine. Why don't you help Dr. Yongji? This quest can be done daily.

Poison King Quest (독약왕)

NPC: ▷ Poison King (독약왕) (lou_in02 123 39)

Nagash Arses (나가쉬 아르세스) introduces himself as a foreigner. He says that he once was called the Poison King and wants to tell you about his history. You can do this quest once you've completed the Doctor quest above.

8 Reformers Quest (8인의 개혁가)

Sun Mao says he is preparing to reform the world for the better. Sun Mao asks you to gather comrades who will share your will.

Dragon Castle Souvenirs - Earth Dragon Weapons

Outside of the quests, the other draw for players to Louyang have to do with the Earth Dragon Weapons. This section is all about how to obtain these weapons, a description of each weapon, and the random options they can be given.

Monsters That Drop Earth Dragon Stones

You can exchange 20 Earth Dragon Stone for 1 random Earth Dragon Weapon from the Jo Ji-ryong NPC. For 150,000 Zeny*In June 2018 was changed to Zeny, but previously it was 10 Earth Dragon Stone, you can purchase a Earth Dragon Magic Scroll Earth Dragon Magic Scroll to give magic options to your Earth Dragon Weapon, or Earth Dragon Scroll Earth Dragon Scroll to give physical options to your Earth Dragon Weapon.

Earth Dragon Weapon Random Options

  • You can use both the Earth Dragon Scroll and the Earth Dragon Magic Scroll for all Earth Dragon weapons.
  • When using the Earth Dragon Scroll or Earth Dragon Magic Scroll, options are granted from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 2.
  • The Earth Dragon Weapon's refine level and slotted cards will not be reset when using the random options scrolls.
  • You can re-grant options by using the Earth Dragon Scroll and Earth Dragon Magic Scroll on Earth Dragon Weapons that already have random options.
